The Borderlands franchise is getting another spinoff thanks to Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. Gearbox announced the new game during today’s Summer Game Fest kickoff show.
Wonderlands takes place in a high fantasy setting where bullets and broadswords collide. The official press release describes the game as an “epic high fantasy take on the looter shooter genre, players can create and customize their own multiclass heroes as they loot, shoot, slash, and cast their way through outlandish monsters and treasure-filled dungeons on a quest to stop the tyrannical Dragon Lord.”
Furthermore, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands “is a full standalone experience with a rich, story-driven co-op campaign for up to four players, as well as repeatable end-game content.” The game’s official website is now live, although there isn’t much to see.
The tentative release date is early in 2022. It will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
