Summer Game Fest is off to a roaring start, especially after the world premiere gameplay reveal of Elden Ring. Today’s kickoff was two hours of world premiere trailers, interviews, announcements, and even a show by Weezer.
But of all the announcements, none were more well received than Elden Ring. The gameplay reveal was kept for last, but it absolutely made an impression.
From the creators of Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls, Elden Ring is an action roleplaying game. The game’s story is the fruit of a collaboration between its director, Hidetaka Miyazaki, and acclaimed fantasy novelist George R. R. Martin. It will be available on PC, Xbox, PlayStation.
And we have a release date: January 21, 2022.
