Yesterday, publisher Deep Silver announced on Twitter that its parent company, Koch Media, has an announcement planned for the Summer Game Fest on June 11.
Unfortunately, the tweet also contained some disappointing information for fans of Deep Silver’s most popular franchises. Specifically, don’t expect to see anything related to Dead Island, Saints Row, Metro, or TimeSplitters. No information whatsoever about the franchises will be unveiled during Summer Game Fest 2021 or E3 2021.
In late May 2021, Deep Silver made headlines when it announced that it was reforming Free Radical, the studio behind the TimeSplitters franchise. Considered by many to be a spiritual successor to GoldenEye 007 and Perfect Dark, the last instalment of the series, TimeSplitters 3, launched in 2005.
