Nintendo has finally confirmed its E3 plans. In a tweet from its official Twitter account, Nintendo of America announced an E3 Nintendo Direct. The show will take place on June 15th at 9 AM PDT / 12 PM EDT.
According to the tweet, viewers should expect around 40 minutes of information during the Direct. However, it specifically mentions software. While that is no surprise, it is worth noting that there is no mention of hardware. Rumours of an upgraded Nintendo Switch have been making the rounds recently, especially following an apparent manufacturer leak and the appearance of a “New Nintendo Switch Pro” listing on Amazon Mexico.
Following the event, fans will be able to watch the Nintendo Treehouse showcase which will feature around three hours of gameplay.
Even if there is no “New Nintendo Switch” reveal, Nintendo’s fans do have a lot of upcoming games to look forward to. Metroid Prime 4, Splatoon 3, and the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild are all major upcoming titles that could be revealed during this E3’s Nintendo Direct.
