Hot off the rumours of a Chinese hardware manufacturer’s leak regarding an upgraded Nintendo Switch, Amazon Mexico briefly listed a page for the “New Nintendo Switch Pro.”
Spotted by Twitter user Alphabeat and added to by Wario64, it seems that Amazon listed Nintendo’s upcoming console. The listing, which has already be scrubbed from the site, was just a placeholder. It contained no real information and even the name was likely temporary.
Bloomberg and Eurogamer both reported yesterday that Nintendo intends to announce the new console before this year’s E3. ” I understand this is to ensure third-parties working on games which support the upgraded Switch are free to announce these projects at E3, and before Nintendo’s own digital showcase later in that week,” wrote Eurogamer’s Tom Philips.
It is looking more and more likely that fans of Nintendo’s hybrid console will learn more about the upgraded version very soon.
