Ubisoft lifted the veil on Far Cry 6 during yesterday’s gameplay reveal. Here is what we know so far.
First, the most important. Far Cry 6 will be available on October 7, 2021.
In a series known for its over-the-top action, this latest entry will not disappoint either. According to Ubisoft, the game has 49 guns. The weapons range from basic staples such as the M16 to more exotic weapons, like a motorcycle engine-powered minigun. Animal companions also make a return. Two pets in particular are Chorizo the wiener dog and Guapo the gold-toothed alligator.
As for the playground of destruction, Yara is an island. It features multiple biomes for players to explore and cause chaos in. These include swamps, jungles, towns, cities, and underground areas. Players will be able to travel around Yara using horses, vehicles, and even a tank. Flying will be an option, but apparently not until Anti-Aircraft guns scattered around the island are taken care of.
As with previous entries in the genre, players should expect to engage in various side quests and activities.
