Hunt: Showdown is doing well for itself. Its recent live event, “As The Crow Flies”, was a success for Crytek’s competitive bounty hunting game. The event ran from March 24 to April 12 and saw the game break its peak concurrent users record.
Given that success, Crytek announced today that more content will be added to the game soon. A future update will include a new map, which is something long-requested by fans. Alongside the new map, another live event will launch and give players a chance to unlock new rewards.
“The response to our ‘As The Crow Flies’ live event was phenomenal,” said Fatih Özbayram, Senior Producer, Hunt: Showdown. “Building on that success, we’re excited to announce that a new live event will come to the game soon, plus a new map which will present Hunters with new challenges and enemies. In addition to creating new content, we’re always looking to improve every aspect of the game to serve our friendly and welcoming community, which continues to grow with every update. There’s never been a better time to play Hunt.”
In addition to the announcement, Crytek released a new trailer for Hunt: Showdown, titled Dark Sight, which gives a sneak peak at the new map and content. You can watch here, and make sure to keep an eye out for easter eggs:
