Good news for Halo fans who play primarily as Elites.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection‘s upcoming season 7, aptly named Elite, has a big focus on customization for playable Elites. A blog post on Halo Waypoint details seven new armour sets.
However, while Elites are playable multiplayer characters in Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo: Reach, it appears that customization is limited to Halo 3 only. It still isn’t clear if players will be able to mix and match armour from different sets or not.
Additionally, the Energy Sword will receive a series of skins. The seven skins revealed in the blog post show that players will have plenty of options to make their weapon stand out.
As stated in the blog, members of the Insider Program might see some of the new content arrive in upcoming flighting builds. Nonetheless, the caveat remains that “just because something appears in a flight doesn’t necessarily mean it will ultimately make the cut when it comes to eventually making it into the full game in a future season.”
Spartan customization has been the main focus in the MCC for its last six seasons and the new options for Elites will no doubt be welcomed by fans of the iconic species.
Furthemore, Season 7 will bring other improvements. These include improved visuals for Combat Evolved, new quitting penalties, a new Halo 3 map, and traditional bug fixes.
There is no release date for Season 7 yet, so it’s safe to assume that you still have time to complete the current season’s challenges.
